Citymeals on Wheels — 38th Annual Power Lunch

This is Citymeals’ signature fundraising lunch. This cherished tradition brings together philanthropic New Yorkers to celebrate community, connection, and compassion in the fight against elder hunger.

CityMeals banner 2025

In 1986, Citymeals Founder Gael Greene and then-Board Member Joan Weill conceived the Power Lunch for Women — our biggest fundraising event of the year — as a spoof on the men’s power breakfast concept. Decades later, we’re still bringing together friends old and new to join us in the fight to end elder hunger.

All donations 100% fund meals. Power Lunch has raised more than $33 million in support of Citymeals’ mission over the years.

Honorees are Citymeals Board Member Suri Kasirer and longtime corporate partner WWD, Robb Report and Penske Media.

Project Angel Food – Angel Art

Join Project Angel Food for Cocktails & Bites lovingly served by our dedicated Angel volunteers to celebrate the power of art and community to heal and inspire.

Project Angel Art is an acclaimed benefit auction. 100% of proceeds benefiting the vital work of Project Angel Food.

This pivotal event — in partnership with the international auction house Bonhams — unites the art community to support critically ill individuals in the aftermath of the devastating Los Angeles fires. The fires have displaced residents and intensified challenges for the city’s most vulnerable.

Since January 7, Project Angel Food has added hundreds to our services — a 10% surge — a number expected to grow even more as the health risks from the fires persist. We are here before, during, and after every crisis.

Among the highlights are contributions from four artists who, despite losing their homes or being displaced due to the fires, have donated works and continue to champion the spirit of creativity and transformation.

Alexandra Grant, Honorary Chair, reflected: “What Project Angel Food does every day and in days of crisis is the same — care, nourish, and feed people. Your support can help bring more deserving clients into the PAF community over a longer term. Food is LOVE!”

The art for auction features world-renowned artists including:
Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Robert Rauschenberg, Helen Frankenthaler, Richard Misrach, Peter Alexander, Jeff Koons, Louise Nevelson, Jim Dine, Herb Ritts, William Wegman, and Shepard Fairey, among others…
As well as emerging artists Awol Erizku, Carmen Argote, Nao Bustamante, Todd Gray, and many more.
These artists, each a pioneer in their respective mediums and movements — from Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism to conceptual photography and street art — have collectively shaped the contours of contemporary art, leaving an indelible mark on both the Californian and global art scenes.
