About Jewel’s special performance, Barbara said this:

Barbara Lazaroff and Jewel at Aviva Family and Children’s Services Centennial Gala — The A GalaI don’t often say I am a fan but I can say it about Jewel. Yes, she has the most fabulous voice, but hearing her life story, learning that she has truly triumphed over a rough home, then homelessness…. I will ALWAYS remember her words, delivered with heart, humor and an authenticity that is often missing in so many today whether they are “celebs” are not. This woman is real!

Red carpet opening of White Rabbit — a new film

Barbara and associate Jordan Roberts celebrated the launch of their new production company, in conjunction with the red carpet opening of their star-studded feature film, “White Rabbit.”

Cast includes:
~ Britt Robertson (Cake, Tomorrowland)
~ Nick Krause (Boyhood, The Descendents)
~ Sam Trammell (True Blood, The Fault In Our Stars)
~ Ryan Lee (Super 8, This is 40)

White Rabbit is about a high school shooter in the making and the devastating effects of teen bullying. It seems that every time you turn on the news, there’s another story about someone who eventually snapped after years of bullying. We hope that “White Rabbit” will be a catalyst to opening up a dialogue about an issue that affects us all.
