Careers Through Culinary Arts Program
The C•CAP Los Angeles Gala
C•CAP and guests enjoyed a glittering evening of food and drink to benefit C•CAP Los Angeles’ students and programming.
Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C•CAP) is a workforce development nonprofit that provides underserved teens a pathway to success.
In 1990 Richard Grausman, a cookbook author and educator started a program to teach American youth about the satisfaction and value of home cooking in twelve inner-city New York City high schools. He soon realized that many of these students lacked job skills or college prospects and needed preparation for jobs with a future, like those in the culinary industry. So Grausman set out to enhance the culinary arts curriculum in public schools and better prepare underserved students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
For over 30 years now, C•CAP, which now has programs across Arizona, as well as in Baltimore, Camden, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City & Long Island, Newark, Philadelphia, suburban Maryland, and Washington DC, has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people.
C•CAP provides culinary, job and life skills to over 22,000 middle-and-high school students annually.
The evening will begin on the Jonathan Club’s Great Lawn, a rooftop overlooking the beautiful vista of downtown Los Angeles. During this social hour, guests will enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and select wines and craft cocktails
As the sun sets, guests will head in to the Grand Ballroom for a spectacular seated dinner. Pioneering chef Nancy Silverton, a longtime supporter, is conceptualizing a delicious multi-course menu along with Jonathan Club’s heralded Executive Chef Andreas Roller.
The program includes remarks from Chef Silverton, C•CAP students and alumni and culminates with the C•CAP Live Auction and yummy dessert.

The 31st Annual Race to Erase MS Gala
Live music ~ Live and silent auctions ~ Cocktail reception ~ Dinner
The Race to Erase MS Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis, funding research at its core. All funds raised support its Center Without Walls program, a selected network of the nation’s top MS research centers. This nationwide collaboration of physicians and scientists are on the cutting edge of innovative research programs, working as a team on therapeutic approaches to eradicate MS. In addition to combating MS through research in a clinical environment, they work hope to increase awareness by educating the public about this mystifying disease.
This gala and the organization were founded by Nancy Davis who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 33 in 1991. After being told by her doctors that she would be “lucky” to operate a remote control on her TV, she realized she was too young and too busy to let the disease stop her life in its tracks. She was determined to devote her time, relationships, and resources to finding a cure. Nancy has tremendous hope, courage, and strength and is tireless in her efforts to find a cure for MS in her lifetime.
The Race to Erase MS has raised over $54 million for multiple sclerosis research. When Nancy was first diagnosed, there was no known cause, no cure, no drugs on the market for MS, and a true lack of hope. For the young person being diagnosed with MS today, there is so much hope for living a productive lifestyle and eventually finding a cure for MS.

La Paulée Los Angeles 2024
Domaine de Montille Burgundy Wine Dinner
La Paulée is a Burgundian celebration held at the end of the grape harvest. The modern day La Paulée was initiated by Jules Lafon, one of Burgundy’s most respected wine growers, in 1923 when he decided to revive the traditional medieval grape harvest celebration to which Cistercian monks invited their vineyard laborers. Over the years, La Paulée has changed a bit from the original communal banquet.
La Paulée de Los Angeles 2024 kicked off at Spago Beverly Hills with a very special evening featuring proprietor Etienne de Montille and a superb selection of wines direct from Domaine de Montille’s cellars in Volnay.
Following a vertical of Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret, guests explored the breadth of de Montille’s remarkable Côte de Beaune holdings through the superb 2012 and 2010 vintages.
Guests then tasted an exceptional trio of Malconsorts from the 2005 vintage, including the “regular” Malconsorts cuvée, the limited “Christiane” cuvée (made from a unique parcel just next to the original part of La Tâche and bordered by the same roads), and the “Enfant” cuvée, which Etienne only made in 2005 as a trial blend of all of Malconsorts and never commercially released.
The evening finished with a stunning vertical of de Montille’s signature Volnay Taillepieds back to the heralded 1985 vintage.
The wines (full list below) will be paired with a tasting menu from Chefs Wolfgang Puck & Ari Rosenson at Chef Puck’s legendary Beverly Hills restaurant Spago.

But… there were also two additional unique experiences to celebrate with:
Either returning to Spago another day for a personalized afternoon cooking lesson with Executive Pastry Chef Della Gossett in the Spago kitchen OR with a world-class cocktail lesson with Bar Director Adam Fournier.
♥♥Recording Artist SteFano and his 6-piece band.
“When Stefano sings you feel it.” The singer songwriter blesses each song with the sort of inimitable spirit that transforms listeners into lifelong fans. That smooth, slick and soaring voice proves both immediately recognizable and irresistible. The nation watched as he wowed Jennifer Lopez every week during his S10 American Idol days, but following the show he continued to capture the attention of some of music industries elite. Most notably, Baby Face. Since 2018 Stefano has been featured on the 11 time Grammy Award winners international and national tours, TV shows and song writing in the studio. In 2022, Stefano stepped away from the tour life to fully commit to finishing his EP “The Inconvenient Truth.”♥
