Redefining Luxury in Design:
How the Economy & Popular Culture are Changing Perceptions of the Best that Money Can Buy
Quality. Uniqueness. Authenticity. These 3 ideals sum up the definition of luxury across all segments – across all eras. But
these 3 pillars manifest themselves in many different ways as times, morals & morays, politics & economics wax and wane. The definition of luxury is ever-changing. Understanding the current definition of luxury separates those who decorate and design for the aspiration wealthy, from those who create sanctuaries and statements for multi-millionaires and billionaires.
